Teja: I got more fame after leaving NTR biopic
It is known news that initially Nandamuri Balakrishna roped director Teja to direct his dream project NTR biopic, in which he played the role of his father and late Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh- Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (Sr NTR). But later Teja left the project and the Balayya Babu brought National award winning director Krish on the board to helm the NTR biopic which have ended up commercially flop at the box office and Balakrishna has decided that he will never produce any movie. Recently during the media interaction Teja, talked about NTR biopic and said that he got more fame after leaving NTR biopic.
When Teja was asked about his exit in a recent interview, Teja said that he thought he might not be able to handle such a big subject, so he left. He added, “Few people asked me why did I leave such a prestigious project. Some opined that the output of NTR biopic would’ve been different if I had helmed it.” Teja added that he has left thinking about it but people’s opinions are making him happier and he is becoming popular for not directing NTR biopic.
Teja’ recently released directorial venture Sita starring Bellamkodna Sai Srinivas and Kajal Aggarwal which was released on last Friday, receive mixed response of the opening day by the movie lovers.
