The assets of TRS, which recently renamed as Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has increased by over 66 per cent during 2021-22. The annual audited accounts and annual report of contributions submitted by BRS party to the Election Commission of India (ECI) shows that its current assets have increased from Rs 288 cr to Rs 480 cr in 2020-21. The party’s income increased by 480 % to Rs 218.11 cr from Rs 37.65 cr during the same period.

During 2021-22, KCR led party earned Rs 153 cr through electoral bonds and Rs 40 crore through electoral trusts. The party had no income under both these heads during the previous year. Annual fees/discussions of members decreased from Rs 16.70 cr to Rs 7.54 cr.

The party spent Rs 7.68 cr in 2021-22 as against Rs 4.79 cr in 2020-21. The opening balance for the year ended March 31, 2022 was Rs 307 cras against Rs 292 crore in the previous year. The statement also shows that party balances with scheduled banks for maturity period of more than 1 year stood at Rs 451 cr in 2021-22 as against Rs 256 cr in 2020-21.

At TRS plenary session in April, party president and chief minister KCR had said the party had Rs 1,000-crore  entity , which is enough to jump into national politics.
