The country India recorded over 1.52 lakh new Coronavirus/Covid-19 cases in the 24 hours ending at 8 am today on Monday, taking the total infections to over 2.80 Crore. This is the lowest spike in daily Coronavirus infections since 9th April. Out of these, active Coronavirus cases declined to over twenty lakh and the number of the recoveries escalated to over 2.56 crore.
According to the latest update, the Telangana government extended the lockdown from Monday till 9th June with relaxations from 6 am to 1 pm every day. Telangana Chief Minister KCR released an official statement and confirmed the same. The state Cabinet met on Sunday in Hyderabad and discussed several matters, including the extension of the lockdown in Telangana State.
KT Rama Rao the Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, and the son of CM KCR wrote on the wall of Twitter, The Cabinet meeting has resolved to continue Telangana lockdown for another ten days and daily relaxation has been extended from 6 am to 1 pm. Guidelines will be issued soon.”
On the otherside, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi urged CM KCR not to extend the lockdown in Telangana State and said the only long-term solution to the Coronavirus pandemic is the universal vaccination.
