Telangana Chief Minister KCR says it is inevitable to extend the lockdown to contain the Coronavirus spread in the state.  K Chandrasekhar Rao said that Telangana lockdown would be extended up to 30th April.

Till now, 503 +ive coronavirus cases have been reported in Telangana, of which 393 are active cases, 96 people have been discharged whereas 14 have died.

On Saturday  KCR announced that the coronavirus lockdown in his state to be extended till 30th April. It is known news that West Bengal and Maharashtra chief ministers have already extended the lockdown till April end. With this Telangana becomes the 5th state to extend the lockdown.

CM KCR attended a media conference at Pragathi Bhavan and issued a stern warning that the extended lockdown till 30th April will be implemented very strictly. He appealed to the people to cooperate with the government in the fight against the Covid-19, and said there could be a possibility of lifting the lockdown after 30th April in a phased manner if the things improve.

KCR further said that he was considering to seal borders with Maharashtra, which had the highest number of covid-19 cases in the country.

Recently CM KCR suggested to India’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the ongoing lockdown be extended for 2 more weeks to check the spread of covid-19. KCR made this suggestion during an interactive meeting Narendra Modi held with CMs of all states through videoconferencing.
