Ram Gopal Varma aka RGV made official announcement that Mumbai-based distribution house NH Studioz, which is popular for distributing big movies like Pink, Jab Harry Met Sejal, Half Girl Friend, Tube Light etc, are now entering in Telugu with upcoming much awaited movie Lakshmi’s NTR, the biopic of legendary actor and late Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh- Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. It seems no any Telugu distributor is ready to release RGV’s Telugu movie Lakshmi’s NTR.
Ram Gopal Varma took to his twitter and wrote, “ Thrilled to announce that NH STUDIOZ who distributed such big films like PINK, JAB HARRY MET SEJAL ,HALF GIRL FRIEND, TUBE LIGHT etc are now for the first time entering TELUGU with #LakshmisNTR Releasing world wide on 22nd ..MORE POWER TO NTR.”
Lakshmi’s NTR is bankrolled by Rakesh Reddy and Deepthi Balagiri. P Vijay Kumar is playing the role of NTR, Yagna Shetty will be seen playing NTR’s second wife Lakshmi’s Parvathi whereas Sri Tej is playing current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
After a long acting career, NTR founded the Telugu Desam Party in 1982 and served as Andhra Pradesh chief minister for the 3 terms. He was forced to resign from his own TDP party after his son-in-law and current Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu wrested control of TDP from him in 1995. Lakshmi’s NTR will start when Lakshmi Parvathi enters NTR’s life.
Lakshmi’s NTR is scheduled to hit the theaters on 22nd March.
