Every year, a number of small movies are released in Tollywood. Big producers have been showing interest in releasing small budget movies for years as the profits of this movie are huge. For the past few years, many small films from top production companies have failed to entertain the audience and turned out failures.
Butta Bomma : Butta Bomma which was released in early February, was produced by Sitara Entertainments in association with top director Trivikram Srinivas. A top director and a top production company were partners in the movie but they could not make this movie a hit. The movie Butta Bomma which was released as a remake of the Malayalam movie Kappela, received the flop talk due to the lack of novelty in the story.
Kalyanam Kamaneeyam : Kalyanam Kamaneeyam, a small film produced by UV Creations, which is best known for funding Radhe Shyam and Saaho, was released this Sankranti. This small movie was rejected by the audience due to its routine concept.
Shakini Dakini and Dongalunnaru Jaagratha: Two small films produced by senior producer Suresh Babu last year, Shakini Dakini and Dongalunnaru Jaagratha were also flopped at the box office. These two films left disappointed the movie lovers.
Ori Devuda, Paagal and Andagadu, produced by Dil Raju in collaboration with other producers failed to fetch money.
