Vijay Devarakonda talks about mixed response to Dear Comrade

Vijay Deverakonda and Kannada beauty Rashmika Mandanna starrer romantic and action drama Dear Comrade hit the screens on Friday. It was released simultaneously in four south Indian languages- Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. The film received the mixed response on its opening day but the movie did good collections on its opening day. The movie lovers who have already watched Dear Comrade opined that the pace of movie is slow, whereas according to few, they are not happy with its screenplay. They felt that the proceedings were slow and dull.

During the success meet, Vijay Deverakonda opened up about the mixed response of the movie. He said, “I completely agree with the various opinions of the audience but I and my director Bharat Kamma always wanted Dear Comrade to be made in a slow and simple pace.”

He added, “The movies such as ‘Dear Comrade’ have to be watched patiently. I am sure, you will like it.”

Dear Comradeis produced by Mythri Movie Makers, also has Jayaprakash, Brahmaji, Shruti Ramachandran, Sukanya, and Rao Ramesh in supporting role.

The Malayalam dubbed version of Dear Comrade was released in over 125 screens across Kerala and the movie registered good occupancy rates in majority of the centres. The movie has got a start, which is worth appreciating.
