Last year there was a strong buzz in the film industry that the director Tharun Bhascker would be teaming up with none other than Venkatesh Daggubati for a movie, which had a backdrop of horse racing. The untitled film was about a jockey-turned-swashbuckling horse-racing gambler, which was supposed to be bankrolled by Suresh Babu Daggubati. But till date, there is no any official announcement regarding Venkatesh and Tharun Bhascker’ project. Now according to the latest update, Tharun Bhascker is all set to direct a movie in which as star will play the lead role.
Tharun Bhascker who made his debut in a lead role with Vijay Deverakonda’ maiden production venture, Meeku Matrame Chepta, took to his Instagram and said, “The third one really put me in trouble. The nervousness almost killed me. There were two big projects/films and it really took an eternity to choose.”
Meeku Matrame Chepta actor added, “I wanted to be this time because the pressure was a lot more than before. After a lot of thought, I have chosen to write a crime drama. The subject has excited me, it is real and I get to work with a star who I absolutely admire. The announcement reading this project will be out soon. This one shall not disappoint. wait for it, bear with me.”
It seems, Tharun Bhascker is indirectly hinting that he will be working with Venkatesh Daggubati.
