Megastar Chiranjeevi‘s movie ‘Godfather’ was released on October 5 as a grand gift on Vijayadashami. It is known that this movie directed by Mohan Raja is a remake of the Malayalam super hit ‘Lucifer’. Presented by Konidela Surekha, this film has been ambitiously produced by RB Chaudhary and NV Prasad under the banners of ‘Konidela Productions’ and ‘Super Good Films. The film garnered positive talk on the first day.
The openings were not up to expectations but it didn’t matter. Although this movie seemed okay in the first week, it did not collect much cash in the second week. Due to the effect of ‘Kantara’, this movie was not able to recover. Since four more new movies are being released for Diwali, it must be said that it will be difficult. The theatrical business of the film ‘Godfather’ was Rs. 91.2 crores including all the versions. If this movie wants to break even, it should get a share of up to Rs.92 crores. At the end of 16 days, this movie earned a share of Rs.57.69 crores only. A share of Rs.34.31 crore should be obtained to break even. The 2nd week was expected to cash in solidly, but it didn’t happen.
4 new movies are releasing on October 21. On the other hand, ‘Kantara’ is also in full swing, so there is no chance of breaking even. On the occasion of Diwali, ‘Godfather’ got 200 theaters for the third weekend as well. Let’s see if there will be any sparkles this weekend..!
