The Lion King Telugu Movie Review: The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau, is the photo-realistic computer-animated reboot of Disney classic. It is the story of how the life of a young lion changes after his father is murdered.
King Mufasa is blessed with a child whom he names Simba. When Mufasa is killed in a wildebeest stampede, the young Simba is banished from the land by his evil uncle Scar, and he is raised by a group of animals, until years later, he comes back to claim the throne, avenge his father’s death., and save the kingdom from his uncle Scar’s torment. How will Simha become the king? How will he end his uncle Scar? To get these answers one should watch the movie on the silver screen.
- Lacks original emotions
Technical: In terms of storytelling, The Lion King doesn’t offer anything special. The retelling fails to present a new perspective. The most enjoyable characters are Pumbaa and Timon, voiced by Brahmanandam and Ali respectively. Nani, Ravi Shankar, and Jagapathi Babu have given the voice for Simba, Mufasa, and Scar respectively. From VFX and computer graphics to the camera work and background music, every craft is fine. The technical values of The Jungle King are awesome.
Analysis: The Lion King uses highly advanced visual effects to create the birds, animals, and insects so real they make you want to stroke the screen. From Simba’s lifelike whiskers to the nasty dental work of the hyenas whom Scar recruits, the computer-generated wizardry of Jon Favreau and the team never cease to marvel. The heart-wrenching moment when Simba sees the body of his dead father and implores him to remember who he is. Jon Favreau scored a hit with his offering ‘The Jungle Book’. The Lion King is filled with strong emotional sequences and stunning visual. Overall, The Lion King is an emotional visual treat for children and adults.
