On to the human right violations in the Kashmir because of abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A), UK said that it must be thoroughly, promptly and transparently investigated. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab told MPs in the House of Commons in the first parliamentary session that he had raised concerns with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in his conversation and he further added that the UK will closely monitor the situation of Kashmir.
Dominic Raab said on answering the series of questions regarding the Kashmir issue, “In relation to detentions, potential mistreatment and also the communications blackouts, I raised those issues with the Indian Foreign Minister. The Indian government has made clear that they are only extemporaneous, as strictly required. And of course, we would want to hold them to that undertaking”

India has told the world many times that it is an internal matter of India and nowhere related to any other country in it. However, speaking to it British minister said it is human rights that made this matter an international issue. He expressed his opinion saying, “The issue of human rights is not just a bilateral issue for India or Pakistan or a domestic issue, it is an international issue… we expect internationally recognized human rights to be complied with and respected”
