Though the silence is gripping all over Jammu and Kashmir on the deployment of military troops all over there, the aggressions are being echoed in the parliament during the debates on this issue. The sudden abrogation of Article 370 and 35 (A) has not only stunned the Indians but also the world. From the latest update, it was known that the United States has been closely following up the running controversy of Jammu and Kashmir issue.
On this US spokesperson said, “The US is closely following India’s legislation regarding the new territorial status and governance of Jammu and Kashmir. We note the broader implications of these developments, including the potential for increased instability in the region,”
On sudden detention of people, tourists and house arresting the leaders of Kashmir, the spokesperson said, “We continue to be concerned about reports of detentions and the continued restrictions on the residents of Jammu and Kashmir. We urge respect for individual rights, compliance with legal procedures, and inclusive dialogue with those affected.”
Further, the spokesperson called all parties and people to maintain peace and stability at the Line Of Control. It has to wait and see how the positive developments can be observed in J & K.
