Due to coronavirus, the lockdown has been imposed all over the country. Now the fourth phase of lockdown is being implemented and however, this time government has given more relaxation. However single-screen theaters and multiplexes are in closed form over 60 days and there is no respite for them as entertainment is considered to be the least important sector in this crisis time. Lockdown 4.0 is extended till month-end and it is being speculated that the government will give complete relaxations to all sectors from June 1st.
Though the government is keen on getting normalcy back, it is not guaranteed that theaters and multiplexes will be opened any time soon as social distancing is practically impossible there. However, the government is strategically going forward when it comes to the opening of these sectors.
It is being rumored that theaters and multiplexes might be opened from the first week of August with few social distancing norms imposed by the government. It is also said that the government might give permission for only three shows a day by quitting out the night show.
Recently industry bigwigs have met, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, and requested him to give permissions for shooting and promised that they will continue shooting with limited cast and crew.
