Bharat Biotech’s nasal vaccine which was approved for inclusion into India’s COVID-19 immunization program few days ago, will cost Rs 800 each plus 5% GST plus medical fees. The intra-nasal vaccine will be available at private vaccination centres by the end of January month. Private hospitals are also allowed to charge up to Rs 150 as an administrative charge per dose. With this, the vaccine will cost around Rs 1,000.
The nasal Covid-19 vaccine will be used as a heterologous booster and will be available first in private hospitals. For a total of eight doses, or four drops in each nostril, the vaccine will cost about Rs 1000. Two people can be covered by one vial.
Bharat Biotech nasal Covid-19 vaccine will be available on the CoWIN app starting today.
The people can just sign in to their CoWIN account and apply for the vaccine slot.
The vaccine will be available in the private hospitals and will be included in Covid-19 vaccination program from today.
The nasal Covid-19 vaccine will be used as a heterologous booster dose for those above 18 years of age.
