Thodule Box office collections: Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon starrer Bhediya was dubbed in Telugu as Thodelu and it was released on 25th November in Telugu states. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the movie received positive response by the movie lovers. While the film’s overall business value is Rs 2 crores, the film’ break-even target was Rs 2.25 crores, but Varun Dhawan starrer could not perform in the expected range in the first weekend. According to the traders, Thodelu has completed its run and has earned Rs 1.50 crores gross and the shares is less than 80 lakhs from the box office of Telugu states- Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
The movie ended its run as a disaster at the box office. Even in Hindi, the movie Bhediya managed to get collections in the range of Rs 55 crores.
Thodule is all about the story of Bhaskar (Varun Dhawan), the civil engineer and the road contractor, gets a road project in interior forest area of Arunachal Pradesh by convincing his boss. After reaching there, Bhaskar gets bitten by a wolf which makes him evolve into the creature gradually. Veterinary doctor Anika (Kriti Sanon) comes for treatment.
Speaking enthusiastically about Thodelu a thrilled Varun Dhawan had shared, “When I got something like Bhediya, I was extremely thrilled. It’s the kind of movie that was never made in India, and was not offered to anyone.”
