Because of that wolf bite, Bhaskar  turns into a wolf every night. Why did the wolf bite Bhaskar?  Will  Bhaskar become an ordinary man after that?  How will veterinary doctor Anika (Kriti Sanan) meet Bhaskar? Will she help Bhaskar recover?  To get these answers, one should watch the movie Thodelu on the silver screen.

 Plus points:

·         Casting

·         Performance

·         Cinematography

·         Varun Dhawan

·         Abhishek Banerjee

·         VFX

 Minus Points:

·         Kriti Sanon

·         Chemistry between lead actors

Performance: Varun Dhawan’s performance deserves a special mention in this film Thodelu. While acting as a normal man and turning into a werewolf, his performance  is amazing. Varun is top-notch as the shape-shifting wolf. It must be said that he put a lot of effort into his body for this film. He suit up for this role. Kriti Sanon in the role of Doctor Anika is ok. She looks beautiful in the song. Abhishek Banerjee’s performance, who is known to all Telugu audiences through Pathalok, is an added attraction to this movie. His comedy timing is excellent. Apart from these, Deepak Dobbiriyal and Paalin Kabaak who plays the important roles, are fine. Paalin Kabaak is a great addition to the Varun  and Abhishek. Presenting him as the voice of Northeast, Paalin Kabaak does a tremendous job at both comedy  and drama.

Technical: When it comes to the technical department of Thodelu, the director Amar Kaushik has picked interesting story. He ties to tell it in his own style to suit today’s modern era and he becomes successful. It seems that there are some awkward and illogical scenes, but overall, Amar Kaushik has made an impressive. The story penned by Niren Bhatt is good. The songs rendered by Sachin Jigar are good. Tumakeshwari is a plus point for the movie. Jishnu Battacharji’s cinematography working took the film to another level.  As  the major part of the film is shot in  the forest, Jishnu tries  to impress everyone by showing his camera work. Special mention should be given to VFX. The VFX is also excellent and Thodelu has good visuals.  The production values are rich.

Analysis: Thodelu delivers what it promises,  classy VFX, a few jump scares and good performances by its cast. The  first half is extremely gripping and, the second half seems stretched.
