We have already reported that filmmaker Puri Jagannadh on Tuesday presented himself before the Enforcement Directorate – ED officials who are probing the alleged money laundering angle in the infamous drug scandal of 2017.
Ismart Shankar fame Puri Jagannadh was asked to submit financial transaction details from three bank accounts during 2015-17 to initiate the investigation into the fund trail. Actress and producer Charmee Kaur is scheduled to appear before the officials today on 2nd September. Her bank accounts will be examined by the ED officials. The officials will also enquire about the financial transactions of her production house.
In the year 2017, the officials questioned some celebrities including Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, director Puri Jagannath, Mumaith Khan, Navdeep, Subbaraju, actress Charmee Kaur, Tanish, and Tarun. For many of them, the hair and nail samples were taken . Now the ED officials summoned mostly the same persons and added two names, Rana Daggubati and Rakul Preet Singh.
Puri Jagnnadh and Charmee Kaur are good friends and currently they are bankrolling Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Pandey starrer upcoming action thriller drama Liger which is one the much awaited project of film industry. Liger will be released in Telugu and Hindi. It marks Vijay’ debut in Bollywood.
