Baahubali is one of the popular movie of Indian film Industry. Directed by SS Rajamouli, this movie became a huge success and created unstoppable records. There are five main characters in this film- Baahubali, Bhallala Deva, Sivagami, Devasena, Kattappa.
The turning point of the film is the character ‘Kattappa’ who has sparked interest across the country for the second part. The question ‘Why did Kattappa kill Baahubali’ was resounding at that time. Tamil actor Sathyaraj played the role of Kattappa.
Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt was the first choice of Kattappa. Director Rajamouli first approached Sanjay Dutt for the Kattappa character. But after hearing the script, Sanjay Dutt felt that Kattappa’s character was not strong enough and gave up the opportunity. Sanjay Dutt revealed this in a recent interview.
After Sanjay Dutt gave up, the role went to Sathyaraj. It became a milestone in Sathyaraj’s career.Although Sanjay Dutt missed Kattappa’s character but he did not miss Adhira’s role in the second part of ‘KGF’.
The lead role of Baahubali was written keeping in mind Prabhas, for Rana’s role the team was initially considering a Hollywood actor. While Sivagami’s role was first discussed with late actress Sridevi, later it went to Ramya Krishnan, who did a splendid performance.
