Top producer pays Rs 6 Cr for Vijay Deverakonda

It is known news that Bollywood producer Karan Johar distributed SS Rajamouli’ historic and war drama Baahubali in North India. And according to the latest update, recently Karan Johar has paid Rs 6 Cr to grab the Hindi remake rights of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Dear Comrade, which is directed by Bharat Kamma and bankrolled under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers.

After watching Dear Comrade, Karan Johar took to his Instagram to share his review on the movie and made official announcement that he has acquired the Hindi remake rights of Dear Comrade. He wrote, “Stunning and powerful love story! With top notch performances and exceptional music by @justin_tunes On point debut direction by @bharatkamma @TheDeverakonda is BRILLIANT as is @iamRashmika well done @MythriOfficial ! ANNOUNCING that @DharmaMovies to REMAKE this beautiful film.”

Though several top filmmakers were in the race to grab the remake rights of Dear Comrade, but Karan Johar grabbed it by paying whooping price of Rs 6 Cr. It is being heard that Karan Johar is planning to rope Ishan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor to play the lead roles in Hindi remake of Dear Comrade. If everything will go accordingly, very soon official announcement will be made. Currently Karan Johar is busy in his Bollywood projects.
