TV actress Amreena Bhat was shot dead by terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district. The incident took place at 7:55 PM on 25th May. She died of multiple bullet wounds after three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists shot her and 10 years old nephew Farhan. He is being treated at Chadoora hospital and his condition is said to be stable.
They were fired upon by terrorists outside their home at Kongoipora-Hushroo in Budgam district in Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmir Police informed on Twitter that the attack took place around 7:55 PM.
Kashmir Police Zone tweeted: At around 1955 hrs , terrorists fired upon one lady Amreen Bhat D/o Khazir Mohd Bhat R/o Hushroo Chadoora at her home. She was shifted to hospital in injured condition where doctors declared her dead. Her 10 year old nephew who was also at home received bullet injury on his arm. SMHS hospital’s medical Superintendent Dr Kanwaljeet Singh said that Amreena Bhat was brought dead.
The reason for the attack is not known. Amreena Bhat has sung several songs and performed on them, which are available on YouTube and other social media platforms.
