With innumerable shows going off and coming on the air, we have seen the establishment and dominance of many new faces over the TV industry within a short span of time. Sneha Jain is one of the them. Her on-screen character of Gehna (the maid) has shattered a major societal stigma through TV show Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 by marrying her owner’s family’s son.
Sneha Jain is a household name today. According to her, she has also faced rejections because of her short height. But she did not give up and has managed to make her place in the TV industry. According to Sneha Jain she also faced casting couch and one of the film maker from South asked her to compromise.
Sneha Jain said, “As far as casting couch is concerned, I don’t remember which year exactly it was. I got a call from a South’s casting director, he offered me a film. I came to Hyderabad to sign the contract papers. I was informed that he will give me half the amount then and there for which I will be signed. He further told me that the entire day I have to spend with the director and do whatever he says and after I complete fifty percent of the film, the rest I will be paid. I told him no, this is wrong and I cannot be a part of such a film.”
