A security researcher said on Wednesday that the Hackers stole email addresses of more than 200 million Twitter users and posted them on an online hacking forum. lon Gal, co-founder of Israeli cybersecurity monitoring firm Hudson Rock, wrote on LinkedIn and he called it – one of the most significant leaks I have seen. Twitter has not commented on the report, which lon Gal first posted about on social media on 24th December , nor responded to inquiries about the breach since that date.
A hacker calling himself StayMad has leaked the personal data of over 200 million users, including high profile accounts such as Donald Trump Jr., SpaceX, CBS Media, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, NBA, WHO, and more.
Last month, the hacker claimed to have stolen the data of nearly 400 M Twitter users and put it up for the sale. According to Hudson Rock, the database contains the devastating amounts of information, including phone numbers and e-mails of high-profile users. Hudson Rock shared several screenshots of the post on his twitter account. The sources revealed that hacker claimed he had also offered a deal to the Twitter.
There were no clues to the identity or the location of hacker or hackers behind the breach.
