Twitter is sued for failing to pay $136,250 in rent for its office space in San Francisco.

Ever since Elon Musk took charge of the  Twitter, he has been constantly citing to the company’s poor economic condition. In order to reduce the expenditure, he has limited the facilities from the retrenchment of the employees to the facilities provided to them. Despite this, the condition of the company is so bad that it is not even able to pay the rent of its offices.

According to a report , Twitter, the company of the world’s second richest man Elon Musk, has not even paid the rent of other offices around the world. 

According to media reports, the building owner said that he had warned Musk on December 16 itself that the lease on the 30th floor of the Hartford building was expiring in five days, if the rent was not paid, he would be declared default. But it was not taken seriously and he filed a petition in the State Court of San Francisco on Thursday. The building owners are asking Twitter to vacate property, but there is no response from the company. 

Twitter, which does not have a media department, didn’t respond to a request for comment.
