Every movie lover still remembers Krishna Vamsi’ cult classic film Murari in which Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu played the lead roles. The movie Murari completed 20 years as it was released on 17th February 2001. In this film Mahesh Babu shared the screen space with Sonali Bendre. And the film also had Lakshmi, Sukumari, Kaikala Satyanarayana, and Gollapudi Maruthi Rao in the crucial roles.
Set against the backdrop of an ancient curse, the film Murari was produced by N Devi Prasad and Ramalingeswara Rao under the banner of Ram Prasad Arts. The songs composed by Mani Sharma are still loved by every music lovers. Cheppamma Cheppamma to Alanati, every song still features on every music lover’ playlist. Krishna Vamsi’ film marked the last on-screen appearance of veteran Telugu actor Dhulipala Seetarama Sastry. On its opening day, Murari received the positive reviews and was commercially successful at the box office. It was dubbed into Hindi as rowdy cheetah.
Sonali Bendre made her debut in Tollywood with this film of Mahesh Babu. And it was her first collaboration with Krishna Vamsi.
