Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal compared the theatrical run of SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan to India’s economic growth. We have already reported that RRR is inching towards Rs 850 crore at the box office.
Union Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said that he has learnt that RRR movie is country’ biggest film and it has earned over Rs 750 Cr. Likewise he felt India’s economy is also breaking record after record. According to Piyush Goyal, India’s export figure is reaching $418 bn for FY 2021-22. While addressing a press conference, the Union Commerce Minister compared RRR’s success to India’s economic growth.
The makers of RRR thanked the Union Commerce Minister and said the Films are a country’s soft power and we are glad to be a small part of India’s growth. Here’s to hoping many more Indian films make path-breaking records at the Worldwide Box Office.
It is known that RRR, which is bankrolled by DVV Danayya under the banner of DVV Entertainment, has surpassed Rs 800 crore at the box office worldwide and is still going strong.
Jr NTR and Ram Charan are essaying the roles of Komaram Bheem and Alluri Seetharama Raju, respectively, in SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR.
