Lata Mangeshkar recorded over 30,000 songs in 14 Indian languages, making her the most recorded voice in history.

Lata Mangeshkar  got her first break from Bollywood famous film composer Ghulam Haider who later after partition moved to Lahore of Pakistan.

She was the first Indian in 1974 to have performed in the Royal Albert Hall, London.

Her name was first figured in the Guinness World Records in the year  1974 for having sung the maximum number of songs in the world.

The perfume Lata Eau de Parfum was named after  the singer Lata Mangeshkar in 1999.

 Lata Mangeshkar is regarded as the nightingale of Bollywood for the uncountable hits.

The recording studio of her is regarded as a temple by many actors and directors.

She has crooned the songs along with top male playback singers whether it be Kishore Kumar, Mohammad Rafi,  in 40s to 70s or SP Balasubhramanyam, Kumar Sanu in 80s and 90s.  Lata Mangeshkar also sang with modern-day singers Sonu Nigam, like AR Rahman,  and others.
