
Upendra is one of the most talented actors in the Kannada film industry with a huge fan base. The talented actor also enjoys a huge following in Tollywood. His last directorial venture was Uppi 2 which was released in 2016. The film garnered huge appreciations from both the movie lovers as well as critics.
His first directorial venture was Tharle Nan Maga in 1992. In the mid-1990s, he directed Om, followed by A, in which he debuted as an actor. After a decade of acting in several Telugu films he returned to directing with Kannada film Super, which was well received critically and commercially by everyone. Recently Upendra revealed that he has one unfulfilled desire which is connected with none other than megastar chiranjeevi.
According to Upendra, he was supposed to direct Megastar Chiranjeevi under Ashwini Dutt’ production, but the things did not materialize. The actor added, “ That was my biggest regret till date as I’ve never got to work with Chiranjeevi garu later”.
However, Upendra felt happy for being close to the mega family. He will also be seen playing one of the important role in today released sport based drama Ghani in which mega hero Varun Tej is playing the lead role.
