The Young mega hero Vaisshnav Tej, the younger brother of Supreme fame Sai Dharam Tej, made his debut in Telugu film industry with the romantic drama Uppena, in which he romanced Krithi Shetty. The movie Uppena, helmed by Buchi Babu Sana and bankrolled by Sukumar, Naveen Yerenini and Y Ravi Shankar under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, was a blockbuster at the box office and now the movie has also turned out a hit on small screen. The film Uppena was screened on Star MAA recently and it delivered a terrific TRP of 18.5 in its first screening. Uppena has the music by Devi Sri Prasad.
Uppena based on honor killing, also had Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi in the crucial role. The performance of lead actors- Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty, the direction of Buchi Babu Sana and the presence of Vijay Sethupathi are highlighted in this film.
On the otherside, it is being heard that the producers of Uppena signed two film deals with Vaisshnav Tej. He has already wrapped up the shoot of his second film under the direction of Krish of Gauthamiputra Satakarni and Kanche fame. It has De De Pyaar De and Manmadhudu 2 fame Rakul Preet Singh in the female lead role.
