Vaathi, Sir Box office collections : Kollywood star Dhanush, who made his Telugu debut with ‘Vaathi’, ‘Sir’, in Telugu started to strike at the box office by continuing his success streak. The social message oriented drama Vaathi, which was written and directed by Venky Atluri was released on 17th February and received the mixed response by the movie lovers and the critics on its release day but the movie is doing superb collections at the box office. Samyuktha Menon is playing the female lead role in the movie opposite Tamil star Dhanush.
According to the latest report, Vaathi/Sir has collected11,800 admits from UAE for the 1st weekend from UAEand it has crossed$250K in USA in its 1st Weekend. From Malaysia, Dhanush starrer Vaathi collected RM 1,462,320.00 or RM 1.46 mil from 78 locations.
