Varalaxmi Sarathkumar is one of the first few actresses to openly talk about the existence of casting couch in the film Industry. The actress also exposed many producers and directors who approached her with the wrong intention, despite knowing that she is the daughter of actor-politician Sarathkumar. Recently during the media interaction, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar opened up about the casting couch. She revealed that she has also faced everything despite being a star kid. But she confessed she managed to escape the trap by saying no to the casting couch.
During an interview, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar said, “The Women should expose the predators. I have faced the similar situation but I brought it out in the open. I have faced all the situations and I learnt to say no. I also have proof of recorded phone conversations where people have said that I would not compromise.”
Varalaxmi Sarathkumar further revealed, “After saying no to casting couch, many people banned me. But, today I have completed 25 films and standing on my feet. I have worked with 25 good producers and directors. Recently I signed my 29th film.”
On the work front, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar will be next seen in Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and Shruti Haasan starrer upcoming action drama Krack.
