On 4th August, the first lyrical single from actor Naga Shaurya starrer upcoming much-anticipated romantic comedy entertainer Varudu Kaavalenu, was released, which was crooned by Shreya Ghoshal,  and the track featured Ritu Varma in a vintage avatar with several other dancers. Now according to the latest report, the members of Mahila Morcha have filed a case against the makers of the film Varudu Kavalenu, saying the song belittles Hindi religion.

The members of BJP Mahila Morcha have stated that Digu Digu Naga song is against the interests of Hindu religion and also belittled beliefs of Hindu people. Hurt with the song and the way it is projected as an item number with Ritu Varma’s glam show, Hindu organizations have moved legally. They filed a complaint against the song’s lyricist Ananth Sriram in Chillakur Police Station. The case was filed by BJP- Bharitya Janatha Party Mahila Morcha leader Bindu Reddy.

The remake folk song Digu Digu Naga is composed by Vishal Chandrashekhar, while it has lyrics by Anantha Sriram.  The dance moves were choreographed by the  choreographer Sekhar master.

Naga Shauray and Ritu Varma starrer Varudu Kaavalenu  is directed by debutant Lakshmi Sowjanya.  Apart from the lead pair, the film also has Nadhiya, Vennela Kishore, Murali Sharma, Praveen and Harsha Vardhan in the crucial roles.
