Star Tamil director Siva is popular for making Kollywood star Thala Ajith starrer Vedalam, Viswasam and Vivegam. Now according to the latest update, Siva has suffered a personal loss as his father Jayakumar passes away at Chennai hospital on 27th November.
Jayakumar, who was a short film and documentary photographer, had about more than 400 works to his credit and he was instrumental in making his children debut in movies. While his eldest son Siva is a popular director, his second son Bala is an actor and director. His daughter is a scientist abroad. The last rites of Jayakumar will be performed in Chennai today on 28th November.
Jayakumar’s demise is a big loss to the Tamil film industry. His fans have been posting condolence messages on social media sites after his death. Jayakumar’ father Velan was a film producer and script writer.
Siva made his Tamil directorial debut with Siruthai, which was released in 2011. On the work front, Siva is busy shooting for Kollywood superstar Rajinikanth starrer Annaatthe which also has Nayantara, Keerthy Suresh, Jackie Shroff and Prakash Raj in crucial roles.
