Venkatesh Daggubati is all set to remake Dhanush-starrer Asuran in Telugu. Asuran which was helmed by Vetrimaaran is a thrilling plot against caste and received rave reviews for its theme. According to the latest reports, the yet-untitled film of Venkatesh starrer will go on floors from 20th January onwards in Anantapuram, Rayalaseema, Andhra Pradesh. The sources say that it will be a 30-day schedule and the makers have finalized Anantapuram where most of the shooting will take place. The second schedule of Venkatesh starrer Asuran remake will happen in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas. The makers are planning to wrap up the entire shoot of Asuran remake in 130 days, and the first schedule will last for 30 days.

Initially, it was rumored that Shriya Saran is likely to reprise Manju Warrier’s role from the original. The latest is that the makers have rope Priyamani to play Manju Warrier’s role. The remake will be directed by Srikanth Addala, and Venkatesh will be seen playing an underprivileged village man.

Venkatesh and Priyamani starrer Asuran remake will be bankrolled by Suresh Babu and the original producer Kalaipuli S Thanu under Suresh Productions and V Creations, respectively. Mani Sharma will be composing music for this upcoming film. The sources confirmed that Venkatesh already had a look test for his role in the film.

Asuran is a revenge drama that traces the fight of an oppressed community is based on the Tamil novel ‘Vekkai’ penned by Poomani. The film Asuran had joined the Rs 100 crore club emerging as a blockbuster hit.
