Venky Mama release confusion is the latest news that is doing circles in film Nagar. This is one of the flicks in recent times for which the release date has been changed many times. Actually it was for Dussehra, Venky Mama was supposed to get release but an injury to Venkatesh meant a delay in shooting. Though the shooting of the film got completed in the first week of November, the Venky Mama team has been looking out for a suitable release date. First, they tried for Sankranthi release but it is not possible with already four films scheduled for the release at that time.
Producer Suresh Babu has thought to release the movie on December 20th to take full advantage of the Christmas holiday season, already 2 films Pratiroju Pandage and Ruler have scheduled their release dates much earlier. Then Suresh Babu is left with no choice but to release Venky Mama on December 13th which happens to be the birthday of Victory Venkatesh. However, buyers of the film are not interested in the date as there is no holiday advantage. Venky Mama is made with a whopping budget and high stakes are at risk. So a holiday release in mandatory for the film.
After much thought now Suresh Babu has decided to release Venky Mama on December 25th. US distributor got a call from the producer to arrange premiers for December 24th. However, there is a small problem in that. As it is Christmas eve, most of the theaters will be shut down which means Venky Mama should have early premiers on Tuesday.
With Venky Mama coming on December 25th, Prati Roju Pandage and Ruler will be affected a lot as they cannot take the full Christmas holiday advantage. So Venky Mama is making it tough for December 20th releases.
