Real-life uncle and nephew Victory Venkatesh and Akkineni Naga Chaitanya have turned reel-life uncle and nephew for the film Venky Mama. The film is being directed by Bobby and it has been in making from quite a long time. Bobby has taken so much time to wrap up the film’s shooting and the news is that the budget has also gone overboard.
Talk is that Venky Mama budget has already crossed 40 crores without even counting publicity and post-production charges. The team has released two different kinds of posters of Venkatesh and Naga Chaitanya for Dussehra and Deepavali. The first one was a fun-filled while the second one has a serious angle in it.
The Team wants to portray that there are all kinds of emotions mixed in this movie script which came out really well. Venky Mama unit is very confident of the movie’s success yet their only doubt is overbudget of the film. Firstly, they thought of releasing the movie for Chrismas season on December 20. With the news that there are many movies being scheduled for the same date, they thought of making it to the Sankranthi, the season where most people like to watch movies. But Sankranthi season is already filled with enough movies and Venky Mama hardly had any space to fit in.
Suresh Babu, producer of Venky Mama and a mastermind himself has thought that releasing the movie amongst four other films despite a festive release is not a good move. So, he decided to go for a solo release instead of opting for festive release which also has multiple movies targetting for release.
With this, Venky Mama is now scheduled for release on December 13 and a solo release is guaranteed for it. With two movies being released for December 20, Venky Mama has one full week to collect their investment back.
