Veteran actor and DMDK chief Vijayakanth has been admitted to a private hospital in Chennai due to poor health.

Recently, on the occasion of Diwali festival, the photographs of Vijayakanth with his family were released. The veteran actor and politican is said to be suffering from cough, cold and sore throat for the last 2 days. Due to that, he went to a private hospital in Chennai for treatment. While this information has been spread, an explanation has been given from the his side.
In a press release issued by the party in this regard, “Demudika leader Vijayakanth has gone for a routine medical check up and he will return home in a couple of days. No one should believe rumors.
On the otherside, currently in the third day of his hospital stay, DMDK chief Vijayakanth is battling a cold, fever, and persistent cough. Medical authorities revealed about his struggle with breathing difficulties, leading to intermittent assistance with artificial respiration. His health condition is considered somewhat serious. The official press note from the DMDK officials or hospital management is awaited. Vijayakanth supporters and well-wishers maintain a hopeful vigil for his recovery.
