Late legendary veteran Tamil actress who played all kinds of roles in her filmy career, Manorama’ son Bhoopathi has been admitted in the hospital due to sleeping-pill overdose. The hospital officials treated Bhoopathi and now, his condition seems to be stable.
On 7th April, the people found Bhoopathi lying in his bed, unresponsive. Later, the police officials from Mambalam station in Chennai went to the hospital to conduct a preliminary enquiry. Few are saying that Bhoopathi has an addiction for alcohol, and depressed by the lack of alcohol. Since the liquor shops have been closed due to the lockdown, which is imposed by Narendra Modi to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus, he has been battling addiction, because of which he consumed high doses of sleeping pills. Bhoopathi is a singer, who lives in Mehta Street in T Nagar.
Manorama’ son Bhoopathi is reportedly undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai and is being treated by the team of doctors. These reports about Bhoopathi have shocked Kollywood celebrities and Manorama’ fans. But there has been no confirmation from Bhoopathi’ family or the hospital in this regard.
Manorama had been the part of more than 1500 films and several television series. She married SM Ramanathan in 1964 and got divorced in 1966. Later she started to live separately with her son Bhoopathi. She passed away at the age of 78 in 2015.
