High-ranking bureaucrats have been publicly congratulating south Indian celebrities through their social media handles. Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu has heaped laurels on Telugu Superstar Mahesh Babu for his portrayal in recently released movie Maharshi. Mr Naidu believes that cinema is an art form that has the power to influence the people and society.
After watching Maharshi, directed by Vamsi Paidipally of Oopiri fame, he took to Twitter to rave about it, “With a rural theme, a film that highlights the need for farm conservation and support for the elderly, Maharshi is a remarkable film that everyone needs to watch. It highlights the greatness of the rural population and the importance of agriculture”
Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu congratulated Mahesh Babu for his acting in Maharshi, and Vamsi Paiidpally for his brilliant direction.
Venkaiah Naidu called Maharshi an ‘Inspirational’ movie that should be watched by everyone.
Not surprisingly, Mahesh Babu was delighted with the comment. He responded, saying, “Sir.. This is such an honour for me personally & our whole team… it can’t get better than this. Thank you Sir, your words have inspired us to keep doing more films like “Maharshi”.. on behalf of Team Maharshi… humbled, Sir (sic)”
Pooja Hegde is playing the female lead in Maharshi, which is being bankrolled jointly by Dil Raju, C. Ashwini Dutt, and Prasad V. Potluri through their production companies Sri Venkateswara Creations, Vyjayanthi Movies, and PVP Cinema.
