The fight broke out between BJP Leaders after Sant Kabir Nagar MP Sharad Tripathi demanded to know why his name was not included on the foundation stone for a road. Menhdawal MLA Rakesh Singh Baghel responded to MP Sharad Tripathi that he had decided not to use the name. An argument followed, during which Rakesh Singh Baghel told Sharad Tripathi to ask questions “to his shoe.”
Rakesh Singh Baghel and his supporters later protested against Sharad Tripathi outside Sant Kabir Nagar District Magistrate Raveesh Gupta’s office and demanded that Tripathi be arrested.
It wasn’t the first time when the reports of tussle between BJP leaders went viral. Last year, before Rajasthan polls, two party leaders also went into a scuffle in the presence of then state chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia. While Vasundhara Raje Scindia was delivering her speech, the state party leaders Devi Singh Shekhawat and Rohitash Sharma entered into tussle with both accusing each other of misbehaving on stage.
