After delivering successful movie Taxiwaala, Vijay Deverakonda joined the sets of his upcoming film Dear Comrade, which is being directed by Bharat Kamma. Though the film is titled Dear Comrade but it is not a communist movie.
Recently during the media interaction, Bharat Kamma said, “Vijay Deverkonda’s role will be a student leader coming from a communist family. The film will be set in Kakinada background and Vijay Deverakonda will be speaking in core Kakinada local tongue.”
Kannada beauty Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead. Earlier both Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna have worked together for a romantic entertainer Geetha Govindam, which was hit at the box office.
Dear Comrade is being bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, who have produced a number of super-hit films such as Srimanthudu, Janatha Garage and Rangasthalam. It is to be co-produced by Yash Ragineni of Big Ben Cinemas.
Few days ago, during the shoot of a scene in Kakinada Vijay Deverakonda suffered minor injuries and he was advised complete rest. The sources say that Dear Comrade team was shooting a scene in which Vijay was required to board a running train. Unfortunately, he lost grip and fell but hewas saved by the crew from being run over by the train.
