Vijay Deverakonda to fight for social justiceVijay Deverakonda, who is waiting for the release of his next upcoming film Geetha Govindam, will be next seen in an upcoming movie Dear Comrade, which was launched recently.  Finally the movie went on the floors yesterday and currently Dear Comrade is progressing at brisk pace in a village – Thondangi in East Godavari district. The sources close to the film unit revealed that Dear Comrade is an emotional drama and is also based on a social cause.  According to them, Arjun Reddy fame Vijay Deverakonda will be seen fighting for social justice in this upcoming intense, romantic and action entertainer Dear Comrade. Once again Rashmika Mandanna is going to share the screen space with Vijay Deverakonda in this film.

The sources say Rashmika Mandanna will play cricketer in this film, which is being helmed by debutant Bharath Kamma. Mythri Movie Makers, who is basking in the glory of consecutive super-hit films in Jr NTr starrer Janatha Garage and Ram Charan & Samantha Akkineni starrer Rangasthalam, is co-producing the project alongside Yash Ragineni of Big Ben Cinemas

On 8th May 2018, Vijay Deveakonda made official announcement regarding this project and wrote on his twitter, Mythri Movie Makers.Big Ben Cinemas. & Your Man @Thedeverakonda. Bring you an action drama you will not forget – #DearComrade directed by Bharat Kamma.” The makers have already released a first look poster of the film. Vijay Deverakonda is very popular for his Telangana slang and also speaks the same in his films even now. But for Dear Comrade, Pelli Choopulu star has to change the slang to the East Godavari accent as the character demands .

Composer Justin Prabhakaran, who is best known for his work in Tamil films such as Oru Naal Koothu and Pannaiyaarum Padminiyum, is making his foray into Tollywood through Dear Comrade

Vijay Deverakonda has commitments to do movies with Nandini Reddy, Kranthi Madhav and two others.
