Kollywood star Vijay who is enjoying the success of his recent offering Bigil, has received a bomb threat. According to media reports, the state police control room received a call from an unknown person. The Police forces rushed to  actor Vijay’s residence in Saligramam following a bomb threat call from an unknown person and informed Vijay’ parents, SA Chandrasekar and Shoba.

The police also enquired SA Chandrasekar about the call and deployed police personnel to provide the security. As Vijay, his wife Sangeetha along with their kids live in a plush residence in Panaiyur on the East Coast Road, the  police forces were sent to his Panaiyur residence for tight security after receiving a bomb threat.

The police officials filed a case under cyber crime attack and started the investigation to nab the person who made the call. After investigation, the team came to know that the  youngster hailing from Alapakkam near Porur. Presently the  officials are enquiring the youngster regarding the bomb threat.

On the work side, currently Vijay is shooting for his upcoming film, Thalapathy 64, which is being directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. Apart from him, the movie has Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan, Antony Varghese and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in supporting roles. Bankrolled by Xavier Britto of XB Film Creators, Thalapathy 64 is made on a lavish budget. The playback singer-cum-actress Andrea Jeremiah, has been approached to play a significant role in this upcoming film.

In his recent offering Bigil, Vijay played dual role, as a father and a son. The much-awaited sport based drama Bigil, was released on Friday around 4200 screens all over the world.  The film has Lady superstar Nayantara in the female lead whereas Jackie Shroff in the role of villain. Kathir, Yogi Babu and Vivek are in crucial roles. This was the third time Vijay and Atlee collaborated for a film after Theri and Mersal.
