Vijaya Bapineedu passes awayTollywood Senior director and producer Gutta Bapineedu Chowdary, also known as Vijaya Bapineedu, has passed away today on 12th February 2019. He has directed several block buster action entertainer such as Maga Maharaju, Khaidi No.786, Gang Leader, and Magadheerudu.

Vijaya Bapineedu was born on 22nd September 1936 to Seetha Ramaswamy and Leelavathy in Chataparru village near Eluru. He has graduated (BA in Mathematics) from C.R.R College (Eluru) . He joined the Public Health Department after completing his under-graduation in arts. Vijaya Bapineedu was always interested in writing and he wrote several detective stories while working in the PHD an editor for an entertainment magazine Vijaya.

 His popular directorial ventures are Dabbu Dabbu Dabbu , Patnam Vachina Pativrathalu, Maga Maharaju, Mahanagaramlo Mayagadu, Hero, Bharyamani, Maharaju, Krishnagaradi, Magadheerudu, Naku Pellam Kavali, Khaidi No.786, Donga Kollu, Maharajashri Mayagaadu, Sumangali, Zoo Laka Taka, Mahajananiki Maradalu Pilla, Gang Leader, Valu Jada Tolu Beltu, Seetapathi Chalo Tirupathi, Big Boss, Family and Kodukulu. Vijaya Bapineedu also bankrolled a movie Yavvanam Katesindi in 1976.

Vijaya Bapineedu also jointly produced a film Jeegantalu with K.Muraari on Jyothi Chithra. Later he came in the contact of Megastar Chiranjeevi, with whom he worked the most. In fact, Vijaya Bapineedu is the only other producer till date to produce six movies, Maga Mahaaraaju, Patnam Vacchina Pathivrathalu, Mahanagaramloo Mayagaadu, Magadheerudu, Khaidhi No 786, and Gang Leader with Chiranjeevi in the lead.
