Vikram Saamy Square trailer launch: It’s not the time for celebration

The trailer of Chiyaan Vikram starrer  upcoming action and romantic entertainer Saamy square, which is popularly known as Saamy 2,  was supposed to release today, but now according to the latest update, the makers have postponed the release of trailer following the death of 13 Sterlite protesters in Thoothukudi in Tamil Nadu.

The producer of Saamy Square (Saamy 2) Shibu Thameens, took to Twitter to inform that film’s trailer release has been postponed.  He tweeted, “It’s not the time for celebration,so with all your permission ( #Saamy Lovers and #Chiyaan fans ) we are postponing our trailer launch..Will update,let’s pray for the ppl who lost their lives, more over pray this kind of situation should not continue   Nd never happen..#saamy2”

 Saamy square is a sequel of Chiyaan Vikram’s 2003 Tamil film “Saamy”, which reunites him with director Hari after a decade.  It is produced by Thameens Films. Trisha Krishnan had played the female lead in Saamy.

 Last week the makers launched the motion poster of Vikram starrer Saamy Square  and they also announced the release date of the trailer.   The motion poster received good response by the movie lovers and  clocked in more than 3 million views on YouTube. The sudden decision to postpone the release  of trailer has disappointed Vikram fans. The new date for its trailer release is yet to be announced.

In Saamy Square, Keerthy Suresh, who is basking in the  glory of her recent offering Mahanati- the Savitri biopic, plays the romantic interest of Vikram. The film also has three villains, John Vijay, Bobby Simha, and OAK Sundar. Tipped to be a  action entertainer, Saamy square will see Chiyaan Vikram as the foul-mouthed police officer Aarusaamy.

Sensational  music composer  Devi Sri Prasad is on the board to render the tune.  If everything will go accordingly,  Chiyaan Vikram starrer much awaited drama ‘Saamy Square’ will hit the screens in June.
