  • Too much lag in the second half
  • Slow pace
  • Lack of entertainment

Performance: One of the biggest assets of the film  Virata Parvam is the presence of  Sai Pallavi.  She takes her acting prowess to another level. Rana is brilliant in the role of Ravanna. He portrays toughness with amazing ease. His appearance, body languages, the way of showing expression, are highlighted. He excelled in this role. Naveen Chandra and Priyamani are ok but Sai Chand steals the show among the supporting artists. Zarina Wahab’s mother character is fine. The rest of the cast of Virata Parvam perform accordingly.

Technical:  The movie Virata Parvam is high on technical aspects. The conflict between love and revolution is impressive.  The climax touches everyone’s hearts.  Though the Naxal backdrop has been showcased in many movies, but Virata Parvam has a love angle that has been induced in a very mature manner. Suresh Bobbili’s songs, folk songs and background music are impressive. He provides an excellent background score. And the camera work is  fantastic.  The   forest visuals, period backdrop, and action blocks are showcased in interesting way. Editing is ok and the production values are top notch. The action sequences and suspense factors are maintained effectively.  Venu Udugula picks the sensitive subject and presented it in a very heartfelt and heart-warming way.

Analysis: Virata Parvam is a wonderful tale of love story narrated in a Hard-Hitting way with great performances and heart-rending dialogues.  A classic cinema about love and revolution.
