Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi starrer long-awaited film Virata Parvam has hit the theaters today on 17th June. The movie went under development in 2018 with filming concluding in Dec 2020, since then the makers have been awaiting the release of the film. The worldwide pre-release business of Virata Parvam is valued Rs 14 cr. The movie earned Rs 4 cr in Nizam, 2 cr in Ceeded, and 5 cr in Andhra Pradesh. The film was purchased for Rs 1 cr in Karnataka release, while Rs 2 cr Overseas.
Virata Parvam’ theatrical rights were reportedly sold for Rs 14 cr. The film was also sold to an international OTT giant for an undisclosed price.
If Telugu circles reports are to be believed, Virata Paravam is a small budget movie made with a meager budget of around Rs 12-14 Cr, the break-even target for Rana and Sai Pallavi starrer is set at Rs 14.50 Cr. It means Virata Parvam needs to collect Rs 14.50 Cr shares to enter the profit phase.
Virata Parvam is helmed by Venu Udugula and bankrolled jointly by D Suresh Babu and Sudhakar Cherukuri under the banners of ‘Suresh productions’ and ‘Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas’.
The movie also has Nandita Das, Priyamani, Naveen Chandra, Zarina Wahab, Easwari Rao, Sai Chand and Nivetha Pethuraj.
