Vishwaroopam 2 Collections Fails to beat VishwaroopamVishwaroopam 2 CollectionsVishwaroopam 2 starring Kamal Haasan and Pooja Kumar, directed and produced by Kamal Haasan himself, has hit the theater today in a very grand manner but unfortunately the movie received negative response by the movie lovers. The spy thriller drama has opened to an average response at the US box office in the premiere shows on Thursday, 9th August. According to the traders report, Vishwaroopam 2 has collected is $95,670 from 118 locations from its premieres in USA and beats the collection record of Uttama Viallain which collected $81,000 but failed to beat Vishwaroopam which earned $257,110 at the US box office in premiere show. The trade Analyst Jeevi has shared the collection figure of Vishwaroopam 2 on his Twitter. He wrote, “ #Vishwaroopam2 (all languages together) hourly gross by midnight for premieres in USA is $95,670 from 118 locations.”

Vishwaroopam 2 was expected to beat the records of Vishwaroopam, but has failed to do so with a big margin. The hype made its overseas theatrical rights sell at a record price and the distributors booked over 150 screens across the US in bid to cash in on Kamal Haasan mania in US.

Vishwaroopam 2 faced multiple issues in Tamil Nadu. Firstly, Pyramid Saimira had approached  Madras High Court seeking a stay on the release until Kamal Haasan clears the amount that he had taken to revive long-pending project Marma Yogi. The court gave its verdict on Thursday after this the advance booking for the film was started. As the entire issue was sorted at the last minute and it did not allow exhibitors to add special shows on the release day. It is to be seen how Vishwaroopam 2  will perform at the US box office in the coming days.
