Waltair Veerayya Movie review : Chiranjeevi, Bobby Simha, Prakash Raj, Ravi Teja, Shruti Haasan, Catherine Tresa and others starrer much hyped movie Waltair Veerayya has finally arrived at the theaters today on 13th January. Let’s see the story of Waltair Veerayya.

Story: Waltair Veerayya (Chiranjeevi) is hired by a policeman Seetapati (Rajendra Prasad) to nab criminal Solomon Ceaser (Bobby Simha) who is in Malaysia. Veerayya decides to fly to Malaysia, but his target is Michael (Prakash Raj).  Who is Michael? How is Michael linked with Waltair Veerayya? What is the role of ACP Vikram Sagar (Raviteja) in this story? To get these answers, one should watch the movie Waltair Veerayya on Silver screen.

 Plus Points:

·         Chiranjeevi

·         Emotional scenes between Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja

·         Two songs

Minus Points:

·         Routine Story

·         Lengthy second half

·         Lack of Emotion

Performance: Megastar Chiranjeevi is known as the greatest dancer of Telugu cinema and with Waltair Veerayya once again he impresses the movie lovers with his dancing skills. His facial expressions and body movements to accentuate the exciting tunes of Devi Sri Prasad are amazing. Chiranjeevi is also known as the mass hero of Telugu cinema. Waltair Veerayya is a  visual treat  because of Chiranjeevi’ ferocious fights and breathtaking stunts. Chiru is probably one of those very few stars of Telugu cinema, who can excel in any aspect of acting, be it dances, stunts,  emoting or comedy. Ravi Teja makes his entry in the second half and his combination scenes with Chiranjeevi are highlighted. But Ravi Teja’ energetic avatar and strong screen presence are missing. Shruti Haasan is fine. Bobby Simha is wasted in this film. Prakash Raj is ok.  Rest of the cast including Vennela Kishore, Catherine Tresa, Rajendra Prasad, and others  justify their roles.

Technical:  There is nothing new in the story line of Waltair Veerayya – just a routine revenge story. Music Director Devi Sri Prasad has a winner in 2 songs, and his background music is good in the first half. The songs – Boss party and Poonakaalu loading are good to watch.   The cinematography is good. Dialogues are ordinary and the VFX work is not to the mark.

Analysis: Overall Waltair Veerayya is an average revenge drama but it failed to utilize the strengths and energy of Megastar Chiranjeevi and Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja.  The first half is ordinary which heavily depends on entertainment. The second half features Chiranjeevi and Ravi Teja equally.
