Venkatesh Daggubati is currently working for his upcoming action drama Naarappa, which has Priyamani in the female lead role. Naarappa is directed by Srikanth Addala. It is remake of the Tamil-language film Asuran which is itself based on the novel Vekkai by Poomani, the film also has Karthik Rathnam, Prakash Raj, Murali Sharma and Sampath Raj in prominent roles. Venkatesh is essaying the role of Dhanush from the original.
