There will be a new trend in Tollywood every few years and currently it seems like it is Malayalam movie remakes this time. There are number of films that are going to be remade in Telugu. Off late Malayalam movies are strong in content and variety in concepts. They are commercially viable too which suits Telugu films so much.
We all know that Mega Star Chiranjeevi is interested in the movie Lucifer which was acted by Mohan Lal. Ram Charan has bought the remake rights and Sujeeth is going to direct the film. This project will take off once Chiranjeevi wraps Acharya. Apart from this project Konidela Productions also bought the remake rights of another Malayalam movie Driving License. Hero of this project is not announced yet.
We have also got the news that Sithara Entertainments has bought the remake rights of Malayalam movie Ayyappanum Koshiyum which is a pakka mass masala entertainer starring Prithvi Raj and Biju Menon. Heroes and director for this projects needs to be finalized.
Now according to the latest update, PVP Cinemas has bought the remake rights of Malayalam film Helen, which is a missing thriller. More details about this project will be revealed soon. With so many Malayalam films being remade in Telugu, we have to see how these perform in Telugu.
